For some of you this particular beer will be very near and dear to your hearts. For others, you may think it’s complete trash or never have seen such garbage. Narragansett Beer. The cheap brew that keeps RISDians thoroughly drunk and sane, was recently redesigned this past fall. I am feeling this new direction for good ol’ ‘Gansett, but sort of question the Christmas colors, (this may just be the time of year). The redesign, however, was done a little while ago by Quaker City Mercantile and was not influenced by the Holidays. Rather, Quaker City has chosen to focus on its local heritage and have conjured up a myth of Rhode Island’s relationship to clams and quahogs. Happy Friday, get drunk.
